To showcase Norwich sceince

Objectives:

To raise awareness of the extent and excellence of the science in Norwich to the local community and to engage with a wide range of audiences on a wide range of topics - hopefully there was something for everyone.

Summary of activity:

One day science festival with stands, demonstrations, science shows and talks and sciart actvities

Evaluation approach:

Commisioned a professional evaluator

What went well:

1. Atendance

2. Range of activities on offer

3. Groups reached

What was learned:

1. You can never have enough help

2. Not enough space in our venue for the number of actvities we had

3. You can tell everyone everything they need to know ahead of an event, but do they read it?

Top tips and advice for others

1. Make sure helpers get adequate breaks and drink enough!

2. Make sure people who have not done this kind of thing before are well briefed

3. Be prepared for anything to go wrong
